CAPCo Engineering was hired by Magnolia City Dispensary in Durant, Oklahoma to provide MEP designs for the retrofit of an existing building. Spanning across approximately 6,683 square feet, our team worked diligently to create a finished layout that encompassed various functional areas within the dispensary, including a retail area, offices, storage space, a conference room, and restrooms. Â
Throughout the design process, we ensured strict adherence to all local adopted codes, guaranteeing compliance with necessary regulations and requirements. Our services encompassed a comprehensive range of tasks, beginning with load calculations for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. These calculations were crucial in determining the appropriate sizing and capacity of the systems to be implemented and should always be completed by a professional. Â
In addition to load calculations, our team provided detailed specifications on drawings, outlining the precise requirements for each component of the MEP systems. We also facilitated the selection and scheduling of equipment and fixtures, taking into consideration the unique needs and preferences of the dispensary.Â
Our expertise extended to the construction phase, where we meticulously detailed the HVAC, plumbing, and electrical aspects of the project. This included creating comprehensive piping details, outlining the intricacies of each system’s layout and configuration. Electrical panelboard schedules and a riser diagram were also integrated to provide a clear representation of the electrical infrastructure.Â
Ultimately, our collaboration with the dispensary resulted in a successful retrofit of the existing building, transforming it into a state-of-the-art facility that aligns with industry standards and regulations. CAPCo Engineering’s dedication to providing top-notch MEP designs, comprehensive specifications, and meticulous attention to detail ensured the dispensary’s seamless operation.Â
