ABOUT US

Having begun in March of 2017 as a one-man startup, CAPCo Engineering has grown into one of the top engineering firms for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) design in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and more. The company was found by Chris Pieper, who after decades of working with other firms, decided to use his knowledge and experience to create an engineering company that provides clients with superior drawings and designs and a better customer service experience throughout the life of each project. Despite minimal marketing efforts, CAPCo Engineering has gained a positive reputation and become the go-to firm for many designers and builders due to its top-notch design standards, cleaner, more legible drawings, faster response times, and competitive pricing structure. Even with the success of the firm, the team at CAPCo Engineering is committed to continuous improvement with the vision to become the gold standard for engineering solutions throughout the United States.

The Leadership Team

Chris Pieper, Principal Engineer

Chris Pieper, the heart and soul of CAPCo Engineering, is the Principal Engineer. With over 34 years as a seasoned Professional Engineer, Chris is your go-to problem solver with a down-to-earth approach.

Chris specializes in crafting MEP designs for commercial and industrial spaces, particularly those needing hydronics and central boiler/chiller systems. But what sets him apart is his knack for simplifying complex challenges encountered during the design process.

Not just a designer from afar, Chris has a hands-on background in troubleshooting existing buildings. He’s the guy you turn to for clever retrofit solutions to mechanical and electrical snags. Thanks to his stint in facilities maintenance, he truly gets the nitty-gritty of project commissioning and sustainability.

Chris’s journey began at the University of Oklahoma, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 1985. Before founding CAPCo Engineering, he proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1982 to 1985.

In every project, Chris brings a friendly Texas spirit to the table. He embodies our commitment to precision and innovation, with an approach that’s professional yet welcoming, just like the Lone Star State itself.
