At CAPCo Engineering, we’re honored to have played a pivotal role in shaping the future of education at Alphabetz School. Our Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) design endeavor spanned a new 11,800 sqft Montessori school building, paired with an adjacent retail lease space of 5,000 to 8,000 sqft. This transformative project, situated across Helotes and San Antonio, TX, showcased our commitment to innovation and efficiency in MEP design.
Innovative Montessori Learning Spaces: The heart of our MEP design lay in the creation of optimal learning environments within the Montessori school building. Our meticulous HVAC load calculations ensured precise climate control, while thoughtfully selected equipment and layouts embraced the school’s unique curriculum. From piping to diffuser locations, every aspect of the HVAC plans reflected our dedication to enhancing the educational journey.
Adaptive Design for Site 2: With an eye on sustainability and cost-effectiveness, we seamlessly adapted the MEP design from Site 1 to Site 2. Minimal modifications were made, showcasing our expertise in reusing designs without compromising on quality. The school’s MEP design, proven successful at a previous Bulverde Rd location, found a new home with tailored adjustments at Site 2.
Versatile Retail Shell Building: The adjacent retail shell building was conceived as a versatile space awaiting future tenants. Our MEP design included plumbing and electrical connections tailored for flexibility. Common area lighting and receptacles, coupled with parking site lighting, laid the foundation for a vibrant commercial space adaptable to diverse businesses.
Precision in Pricing and Scope: Our transparent and competitive pricing model reflects our commitment to delivering value. With a cost-effective approach, the MEP design for the new school at Site 1, its adaptation for Site 2, and the retail building embraced efficiency without compromise.
Scope of Work Highlights:
- Mechanical Excellence: HVAC load calculations, equipment selections, detailed plans, and specifications tailored for optimal learning and commercial spaces.
- Electrical Prowess: Comprehensive site electrical design, including area lighting, photometrics, and transformer locations for both educational and commercial zones.
At CAPCo Engineering, Alphabetz School’s MEP design project stands as a testament to our dedication to educational excellence and dynamic commercial spaces. We look forward to more opportunities to shape environments that inspire, educate, and innovate.
